A native of Warsaw, Poland, Piotr (Peter) Ulmer received his Master of Rehabilitation degree from that city’s Academy of Sports in 1991 and came to the U.S. with his family the following year. Piotr has experience in both outpatient and inpatient rehabilitative services, including work with the Detroit Veteran’s Hospital and sports rehabilitation for Health South. Over the last 20 years he has participated in more than 90 continuing education seminars related to manual therapy. With the formation of CTS Physical Therapy in Knoxville in 2001, Piotr was able to put into practice his ideas for a Physical Therapy practice based on his concept of faith-based manual therapy.
Agnes Ulmer is a native from Siedlce Poland. She and her husband Piotr moved to the United States in the early 90’s. Doing the majority of the finance work, Agnes and Piotr started CTS in 2001. Before starting the company, Agnes was a school teacher in Poland for 3 years before coming to the states. In 2000 she became a Licensed Massage Therapist. She is happily married to her husband with three children.
Micah was born and raised in Knoxville, TN. She graduated from East Tennessee State University 2011 with a bachelors degree in Exercise Science and a dance minor. She did her undergraduate internship here at CTS working alongside Piotr and his PTA’s. She began working at CTS in January 2012 in Marketing/Public Relations, as well as PT technician. Micah is a graduate from the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Walter State Community College.
